Peter and Dorothea were married at Saint Pancras Catholic Church, Ipswich.
As Peter was a Catholic, and Dorothea was brought up as a Methodist, Dorothea's parents said that they weren't going to go to the wedding. They did actually turn up, much to everybody's surprise.
The wedding reception was at the Golf Hotel, Foxhall Road, Ipswich, and the honeymoon was in Bude. 10
