Most of the birth dates for the family have been given by David Cobb, many of them from his Family Bible.
George Cobbs's life has been recorded and researched by one of his descendants. George married Louisa Sillett of Cratfield in 1876 and they had several children in various parts of Suffolk including one in the workhouse, also one in Washington Co. Durham. A living grandson of George has much knowledge of this part of the family and there are still many living descendants of George.He and Louisa had 15 children. Apart from their brief time in Washington, this branch of the family remained in Suffolk. George died in 1914 as the result of an accident when he was working on the brewery roof in Halesworth. He fell through the roof, into a brewery copper, containing near boiling liquid, below. The accident and the inquest were reported by the local paper
